Diagnostic, therapeutic, developmental, and/or personality assessments can answer many questions that parents and children may have about themselves. It is common for parents to wonder if their child or adolescent is developing at an age-appropriate rate, emotionally, socially or academically. Answers may be achieved by conducting a comprehensive, integrated evaluation that emphasizes the targeted concerns and provides individualized recommendations. If you have questions similar to the following, then a formal psychological assessment can help you:
•Does my child have autism?
•Is my child’s development delayed?
•Why does my child have such a hard time in social situations?
•Does my child have ADHD or another reason for having a hard time in school?
•How can I and my child change our lives so that we can get along better?
•Is my child gifted?
•Why does my child behave the way he/she does or lack self-control?
•Is my child depressed or anxious?
•Is my adolescent behaving like most adolescents or is there a more serious issue?
